Tantric Buddhist and Meditation Weekend

This workshop will offer an introduction to meditation practice according to the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. The class is open to anyone, regardless of religious and spiritual beliefs, and will be of benefit to anyone who wishes to deepen their experience of reality.

Who are we, really, and how do we become more deeply aware of the core of our being? Through bringing together body, breathing and mind we will dive deeply into the real nature of things. Combining Tibetan yogic exercises (Trulkor) with meditating in stillness, deep experiences of one’s own awareness become possible. By the end of this weekend, all participants will have a grasp of the basics of this type of practice, and will be able to continue to explore on their own. We will cap off the weekend with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and learn how to combine tea drinking with meditation in a way that can help us learn how to bring all our activities into alignment with our deepest spiritual goals.

About the Teacher

Joseph Wagner has practiced Buddhism since 1988 and is the resident teacher at Denver Dzogchen. A long-time student of many great masters, he has received direct Dzogchen teachings from Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and furthered his understanding through study and practice in Tibet, Nepal, India, and the West with some of today’s foremost lineage holders. Joseph has received the authorization and "command" (Tibetan: Ka) to teach the Dharma from several of his Lamas, and regularly leads groups in Denver and Boulder as well as around the world. He has been teaching on a weekly basis for more than 25 years.
