Why 108 sun salutation?

– 108 sun salutations is a powerfull yoga practice which is often performed as a part of rituals and transitions like seasonal changes, new years, weddings, births, to mark innertransformations, gratitude and to gather energy.

– The number 108 is in many traditions seen as a holynumber with a spiritual meaning. There are many different explanations as to why the number 108, both historical, scientific, mathemathical and symbolical. Are you curiouswhy? Then come and join us!

Wondering if you can make it? No worries! You`re of courseallowed to take a break during the sun salutations and Christine will also give you some tips before we start to useyour energy wisely. She will guide you through all of the 108 sun salutations. We will do 10 sun salutations at a time and recite a mantra in between. The first time you do this practiceit might seem scary and exhausting, but who knows: maybeyou will surprise yourself?

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra, often called “yogic sleep,” is a deeply restorativepractice that brings your body into a natural state of healing and balance. While you are being guided into a deep rest, your nervous system resets, your mind quiets, and yourwhole being feels refreshed. In this unique and beautifulworkshop, we will intentionally focus on releasing built-up muscular tension and tiredness in your body. This Yoga Nidrasession will provide a much-needed pause – not only from the108 Sun Salutations, but also from any mental load you maybe carrying – helping you move through life with more calmand ease, both mentally and physically.
