This weekly class blends fluid movements with deep breathing to release tension, boost the immune system, and cultivate inner balance. Expect a combination of soft, meditative sequences and standing strength exercises that awaken the body's natural energy (Qi). This is your weekly dose of "meditation in motion" – the perfect way to reset your nervous system and recharge your batteries. QI GONG FLOW Class Description Qi Gong is an ancient Daoist practice that unites breath, body awareness and mindful movement to improve health. In these sunday-classes, we explore the classic sequences known as Wudang Five Animals Qi Gong. We work to open the body's energy channels to improve the circulation of Qi. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, these exercises are often prescribed to actively prevent stress and increase vitality! The movements we practice are based on animal movements, hence the name: Five Animals. We imitate the Dragon, which is linked to the water element (kidneys and urinary bladder); the Tiger, representing metal (lungs and large intestine); the Leopard, linked to wood (liver and gallbladder); the Snake, representing earth (stomach and spleen); and the Crane, linked to fire (heart and small intestine). As you gradually get to know the sequence, you will be guided through gentle breath retentions during the movements to cleanse your internal organs and open up stagnant energy. We end the class with a standing meditation, to find balance and mindfulness. The goal is to increase the balance of Yin and Yang within your body, moving in flow with nature, Qi and the Way (Dao). Suitable for all levels – whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner.
